The board of Directors of Fujairah Charity Association held its regular meeting yesterday under the chairmanship of His Excellency Saeed bin Mohammed Al-Raqbani, chairman of the board of directors and members of the board, where the board reviewed the agenda, which included the achievements and initiatives of the association in the past year 2019, where the total volume of payments made by the association for its charitable projects reached AED 57,519,919 million
The number of beneficiaries of the association’s programs and projects reached 1.019.228 million beneficiaries, including poor and abusive families, helping students, preserving grace, productive families, people of determination, caring for the sick and orphans, and other charitable projects.
H. E. Saeed Al Raqbani stated that the continuous development of the association is due to the concerted efforts of philanthropists, government and private institutions that participate in the association and support its programs and projects, including the conservation of Grace Project implemented by the association with the support of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah.
Al-Raqbani added: “from the fruits of the conservation of Grace Project, the association has implemented a new initiative where 60 sites are equipped to increase in most mosques in the emirate of Fujairah and Dubai in neighborhoods and communities with food preservation refrigerators and water coolers to make it easier for any human to benefit from the excess food from meals in
In addition to development projects and rehabilitation of Productive Families which benefited 66 families in mid-2019 in addition to the 299 trainees benefited from specialized training courses offered by the Centre for training and rehabilitation of productive families in the community.
In 2019, 2,640 students received school supplies, tuition fees, training courses and computers.
He pointed out that the various charitable projects implemented by the association in the last month of Ramadan, including ( Ramadan Mir, fasting Iftar, Zakat al – Fitr, Eid clothing ) and the total beneficiaries reached 377.100 beneficiaries in 2019 .
The council also reviewed and adopted the assembly’s action plan and the programs and initiatives it is implementing in 2020.
At the end of the meeting, His Excellency Saeed bin Mohammed Al-Raqbani, chairman of the board of Directors of the association, thanked the people of good, righteousness and charity for their constant cooperation in supporting the projects of the association.
